A coding agent that answers to your own deployment.

Couplet runs inside VS Code and its forks, and talks straight to your SAP AI Core endpoint. No agent cloud in between.

The name

A couplet is two lines that belong together.

const url = `${base}/v2/inference`;
const url = `${base}/v2/inference/deployments/${id}`;

So is a diff. Couplet shows you both lines, opens the file as it edits, and checkpoints the turn so the first one is never gone for good.

What it does04

Enough autonomy to be useful. Not enough to surprise you.

Reads before it writes

It cannot edit a file it has not read, and stops if the file changed since.

Asks before it runs

Anything that deletes, pushes, or reaches the network waits for you.

Rewinds a turn

Each turn checkpoints the files it touches, so you can roll one back.

Talks to your endpoint

Its only network call is to your SAP AI Core deployment. The secret stays in your OS keychain.

Install

Two steps, same in either editor.

Install the extension

Search Couplet in the Extensions view, or run:

code   --install-extension sharma-so.couplet   # VS Code
cursor --install-extension sharma-so.couplet   # Cursor

Reload the window

Editors cache extension assets by version, so a reload is what makes a new build take effect.

Then open the Couplet panel and paste in your SAP AI Core service key. Press Test connection and it loads the models you have deployed. No settings.json to edit. Offline machines can install the .vsix from the latest release.
